OSI 7 Layers :
It is a logical model developed by ISO ( International Organization for Standards).
There are seven layers in it.Each layer has assigned a specific task to perform.
Changes in one layer don't affect other layers working.
OSI model is compulsory to learn for all IT people in Software, Networking, Protocol developers and also those involved in Operating System development work.
OSI Model is not an OSI protocol suite.
The main goal of the OSI model was to create a standardized framework that allows different computer systems and network devices to communicate with each other, regardless of their underlying architecture or vendor type.
