TCP/IP stands for Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol.
There are two versions of TCP/IP called IPv4 and IPv6.
IPv4 is the 32 bit version [ IP address is assigned in decimal format] and IPv6 is the 128 bit version of TCP/IP and IP addresses are assigned using Hexadecimal format.
It is a suite of communication protocols used to connect devices on the Internet and other networks.
Protocols are languages of the computers.
It defines how data is going to be packaged, addressed, transmitted, routed, and received.
TCP/IP is supported by almost all the operating systems we use in the small to corporate networks.Ex. Windows, Linux, Ubuntu, Android, Unix, Apple IoS etc.
TCP/IP is a routable and most addressable protocol.
